Why Invest in Renewables?

As the world’s population continues to grow and traditional sources of fuel like coal, oil, and natural gas may become restricted or scarce, we must invest in alternative sources of energy. It is estimated that a quarter of the carbon emissions that contribute to global warming are caused by the burning of fossil fuels. In response, the global energy markets are being transformed, with fossil fuel-based capacity being replaced by lower carbon and a renewable future.
This transformation is happening at an ever-increasing pace and is being driven by two contributing factors. Firstly, the lowering cost of producing solar and wind energy makes it comparable, or cheaper, in cost to fossil fuels in many parts of the world. Secondly, governments are increasingly adopting long-term support mechanisms such as infrastructure-focused federal income tax credit incentives to develop the next generation of renewable energy to accelerate the transition.
